We understand how challenging it is to raise children and teens. Sometimes their behavior requires great skill in the art of parenting — if for no other reason than for parents and caregivers to maintain their own sanity.

Children and youth with attachment and trauma-related problems don’t usually respond positively to traditional parenting techniques like rewards & punishments and sticker charts. This workshop helps parents to understand how the earliest moments in children’s lives, prenatally through the age of three, are critical for the brain to complete its “wiring” process.

When brain development is held back by neglect or trauma, the way the brain is affected during that time greatly disrupts children’s abilities to connect with others and causes a host of other symptoms. The workshop guides parents to move from traditional parenting techniques to the SPACE of Therapeutic Parenting – Safety, Support, Structure, Supervision, Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy.
