Together, we’ll learn the art and “science” of parenting in SPACE through Safety, Support, Supervision, Structure, Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy.
We’ll explore how negative experiences in early childhood can leave profound emotional and developmental scars which often make it very difficult for our young people to trust others and make it hard for them to develop and maintain healthy relationships.

This workshop provides caregivers with strategies to prevent, de-escalate, and manage challenging and aggressive behaviors. Caregivers will learn how to help their children develop new responses in the home that show a higher level of social, emotional, and behavioral regulation. This workshop provides caregivers with the skills and knowledge they need to became the catalyst to help their child and family change old habits, destructive responses, and maladaptive behavior patterns.

We understand how challenging it is to raise children and teens. Sometimes their behavior requires great skill in the art of parenting — if for no other reason than for parents and caregivers to maintain their own sanity.
Children and youth with attachment and trauma-related problems don’t usually respond positively to traditional parenting techniques like rewards & punishments and sticker charts. This workshop helps parents to understand how the earliest moments in children’s lives, prenatally through the age of three, are critical for the brain to complete its “wiring” process.
When brain development is held back by neglect or trauma, the way the brain is affected during that time greatly disrupts children’s abilities to connect with others and causes a host of other symptoms. The workshop guides parents to move from traditional parenting techniques to the SPACE of Therapeutic Parenting – Safety, Support, Structure, Supervision, Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy.
